The first signs of Alzheimer

2017-10-10

Alzheimer's disease is often associated with memory loss. While tt is indeed a symptom of the disease, there are several others less known, but equally important. Since it is crucial to act quickly after the diagnosis, here are the 9 most common signs to look for if your loved ones are at risk:

Memory loss: Again the most known symptom of this degenerative disease. Some patients, in denial, will associate memory problems with their advanced age. It is therefore important to know the other symptoms to see if this sign can hide a serious condition.

Language Disorders: An elderly person who's often searching for words and develops speech problems may have Alzheimer's disease.

Bad judgment: Do you feel that your loved one lacks judgment and/or does not have good reasoning? If this situation seems new to you in recent years, it is possibly a symptom of Alzheimer's.

Difficulty planning: The difficulty of planning a simple appointment, for example, or solving problems can be signs of Alzheimer's when these obstacles reach an advanced age.

Social isolation: Some people are solitary by nature, of course, but suddenly losing interest in a social life that once brought us pleasure can be a symptom of the disease.

Mood changes: Observing sudden changes in the patient's behavior, including his mood, is the key. A loved one is calm in nature but now often becomes aggressive, or vice versa? Pay attention to other symptoms.

Everyday Difficulty: If an elderly person finds it difficult to accomplish everyday tasks that they once found easy, it can be a sign of Alzheimer's.

Inability to recognize relatives: The second best-known symptom, the inability to recognize objects, places, or persons in theory familiar to our loved one, is a sign that the loved one may be suffering from the disease.

You can never be too careful. In case of the slightest doubt, consult your family doctor. Diagnosis as early as possible allows you to prepare quickly to maximize the safety and well-being of our loved one.
